Things I want to write about (soon):
- The biographical lives of European scientists after they moved to America in the wake of WWII. This mass migration undoubtedly shaped contemporary scientific culture in ways that are not always clear.
-
This would also make a good basis for a tangential piece anti the "great men" theory of history.
- Ovarian cancer is deadly because we catch it too late – early symptoms are ambiguous and there is no good, non-invasive, inexpensive screening to be done. I am unsure as to what the solution is here. If you have given this issue though and would like to chat, please do reach out!
- [Perimenopausal] women note feeling clearer and sharper after trying out testosterone therapy. I think this is a phenomenon worth looking at closely – can a biological intervention help raise the floor on the QoL for a whole demographic of women? (I particularly like Cate Hall's piece on this)
- How did architects think of the math↔beauty link? Can we use this to Build Beautiful Cities today? Particularly inspired by the writings of Colin Rowe and Nikos Salingaros here.
