I mostly write about the history of science on my blog, Mundane Beauty.
My work includes
- The Tower of Science (for Good Science Project)
- Why is Tuberculosis So Hard to Eradicate?
- China's Clinical Trial Boom (for Asimov Press)
- Real Time Science
This year, I am a fellow for the Roots of Progress Institute. I am also a regular contributor for Decoding Science, and help with publishing related projects for Analogue.
Recently, I graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University where I studied History and Neuroscience. I also wrote an honors thesis, Henri Poincaré and the Aesthetics of Mathematics, which demonstrates how scientists used beauty and elegance as proxy for truth.
During college, I worked as a research assistant to Mark Mazower on Antisemitism, A Word in History (Penguin, Sept 2025), and to Matthew Stanley on his long-form work in science history. Before that I took gap semester with support from Emergent Ventures.
A running list of things I want to write about (soon) can be found in my open Notebook – please reach out if you would like to collaborate with, or commission me on any of them (or if you just want to say hello)
